Our garden lawn is recovering from putting in a soakaway. When raking over the earth to prepare for sowing grass seed, I found what I believe to be a duck’s egg buried about one inch below the soil surface.

I don’t know if it was put there by a duck, or stolen by another animal, but I needed to move it. The egg is now nestled in wood chippings near our blueberry bushes – somewhere much less likely to be stood upon.
