Red, white, and blue (well black), currants are a real British treat. Our plot the three colours mature at different times. Redcurrants mature first, and are followed two weeks later by whitecurrants. Both colours are deliciously sweet, with the white variety my personal favourite. Last to mature is the strong tasting and nutrient packed blackcurrants.
With luck, the biggest problem for a currant grower is thinking up enough recipes to make use of the whole harvest!
